According to reports, harmful chemicals are poured into San Francisco Bay

OAKLAND, California – Polluted water poured into San Francisco Bay includes harmful chemicals present in household subjects such as plastic bottles and deodorant, as a recently published statistics shows.
Scientists have revealed the unwanted substances in two water specimens from wastepipes, related to houses, enterprising factories, and organizations, said the report, made by Environmental Working Group’s branch in Oakland.

The non-profit organization processed the statistics together with East Bay Municipal District, one of several agencies, which pour storm water, filtered sewage, or other polluted water into the bay.

Researches have revealed three types of chemical pollutants – bisphenol A, phthalates and triclosan – which can endanger hormone system of people and animals.

Inspectors consider these chemical components to leak from household compounds such as soap, plastics, and toothpaste, and flow through public water treating plants without being filtered.

Contemporary sewage systems are worked out to filter corrupting food, metals and human trash, but not to catch great amounts of chemical substances used to produce consumer products, reported EBMUD spokesmen.
